As part of the reading marathon "Chemnitz reads Heym" on the 105th birthday of the honorary citizen of Chemnitz, members of the International Stefan Heym Society and other protagonists and fans of his texts will come together on the ground floor of the TIETZ to read from his works.
Pupils from the municipal music school will provide the musical accompaniment.
A co-operation event with the Chemnitz City Library and the Municipal Music School.

In her novel, author Regina Scheer spans the period from the Second World War to the fall of the Berlin Wall and the present day. She tells of the beginnings of the GDR, of numbness and disappointment, of hopes and shattered dreams.
An event organised by the International Stefan Heym Society in cooperation with the Chemnitz City Library and the Neue Sächsische Galerie.
