International Safer Internet Day

Action weeks from 1 to 15 February

This year's international Safer Internet Day (SID) takes place in February. Two weeks of activities are planned in Chemnitz from 1 February to 15 February. The theme is: "Online at the limit - your network, your life, your limits". How healthy is our everyday digital life and what skills do we need to use digital media in a conscious and balanced way?

Whether at school, at home or at work - our lives are full of digital activities that take up a lot of our time and play a significant role in our everyday lives. But up to what point is media use still okay and at what point is it better to set ourselves limits so that we avoid a digital stress trap?

The action weeks are a cooperation between the Chemnitz State Office for Schools and Education, the Chemnitz City Library, the Chemnitz Police Headquarters, the B-Plan children's and youth club, the Chemnitz Adult Education Centre, the AGJF Sachsen e. V., media educator Sebastian Steger, the Municipal Prevention Council of the City of Chemnitz, the Consumer Advice Centre Saxony e. V., the City of Chemnitz Children and Youth Officer and the "Prevention in a Team" network.

The organisation team provides attractive workshops and information events aimed at a broad target group. Educational staff, parents and children will find interesting facts about the internet and new media during the action week.

The complete programme for the action weeks can be found in the programme flyer. The events are free of charge. Registration takes place locally with the respective organiser.
