Interministerial working group on the European Capital of Culture meets in Chemnitz - Minister President Michael Kretschmer takes part

On Wednesday, 1 March, the Interministerial Working Group (IMAG) of the Saxon State Government for the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025 will meet in Chemnitz. Minister President Michael Kretschmer will take part in the meeting.
Topics of the first meeting in 2023 include the cooperation between the city of Chemnitz and the cultural region as well as the impetus of the European Capital of Culture for the cultural and creative industries, science and tourism.
Media representatives are invited to a press conference at 11.30 a.m. in the Carlowitz Congress Centre, Terra room. The results of the IMAG will be reported on by

The IMAG was set up by the Saxon state government to ensure regular coordination between the ministries involved and the City of Chemnitz. It is chaired by State Secretary Thomas Popp, the state government's representative for the European Capital of Culture. The IMAG meets four times a year. Once of these meetings takes place at State Secretary level in Chemnitz.
