Interested parties wanted for new term of lay assessors
Adult education centre: Information event on 10 October, from 7 to 8.30 pm, TIETZ, course room 4.07
On Monday, 10 October, from 7 to 8.30 p.m., the Association of Honorary Judges of Central Germany and the Chemnitz Adult Education Centre are jointly inviting you to an information event on the 2023 election of lay assessors at the TIETZ, Adult Education Centre, course room 4.07.
In the event entitled "Becoming a lay judge is not difficult - but being a lay judge is? ... No, absolutely not!" will provide practical information on the requirements, conditions and basics of being a lay judge.
Participation is free of charge. Registration is possible via the link to the event or by telephone on 0371 488 4343.
Actively and democratically helping to shape the administration of justice - in Germany this is possible, for example as an honorary judge for criminal cases, i.e. as a lay judge at the local and regional courts. We are looking for interested citizens who would like to take on this important task for the new term of office for lay judges from 2024 to 2028.
The event is a cooperation between the non-profit organisation Vereinigung der Ehrenamtlichen Richterinnen und Richter Mitteldeutschlands e. V. and the Chemnitz Adult Education Centre.
