On Wednesday 2 September at 10.00, Mayor Dagmar Ruscheinsky and the City of Chemnitz’s Migration Officer, Etelka Kobuß, are inviting media representatives to a press briefing in Room 118 at the Town Hall, Markt 1.
They will provide information about this year’s Intercultural Weeks in Chemnitz, which will take place from 12 September to 3 October under the title ‘Living Diversity – Shaping the Future’.
Anja Hüttner and Denise Wagner from the Lila Villa Women’s Centre at akCente e. V., Myla Geipel from AGIUA e. V., and Henne Schneider from Chemnitz University of Technology will also be on hand to answer questions.
The patron of the Intercultural Weeks in Chemnitz is Lord Mayor Sven Schulze.
On Saturday 12 September, from 12 noon to 8 pm, the Intercultural Weeks will once again be opened with a Festival of Cultures on the market square. People with and without a migrant background are invited to celebrate together and get to know one another. The Festival of Cultures aims to highlight successes in integration and the work being done in this area, whilst strengthening social cohesion. Furthermore, those interested can find out about integration services, various groups and organisations.
