Interactive exhibition "ECHT FAIR!"
Prevention of (domestic) violence - for school classes from 1 to 8 October, On 7 October, from 12 to 6 p.m. - for all interested parties (no registration required)
The Municipal Prevention Council of the City of Chemnitz and Frauenhilfe Chemnitz e.V. invite you to the "ECHT FAIR!" exhibition at OPEN SPACE, Brückenstraße 10, from 1 to 8 October this year.
The interactive exhibition on the prevention of (domestic) violence, which was developed by the Berlin initiative against violence against women BIG e.V., is aimed at children and young people from Year 5 upwards. School classes can register by calling 0371 918 5354 or sending an email to info(at)ikos-chemnitz.de.
On 7 October, from 12 noon to 6 p.m., the exhibition is open to all interested parties without registration. Admission is free.
The principles of violence prevention are conveyed at six experience stations:
- GEWALTIG shows forms of violence that children and young people are confronted with in public, at school, in their social environment and in the family.
- STRITTIG deals with conflict situations. It is important that there are rules and boundaries that everyone must observe so that an argument does not escalate and hurt others.
- MIT GEFÜHL teaches how important it is to trust your own feelings, to respect the feelings of others and to develop compassion for victims of bullying or even violence.
- ICH & DU is intended to encourage girls and boys to look at their own role models and social expectations. The aim is to scrutinise clichéd ideas of femininity and masculinity and to highlight the lively diversity of development opportunities.
- HELP provides information on how girls and boys can get help with problems at school, in the community or in the family - regardless of whether they are in need themselves or want to help others.
- MIT RECHT illustrates what rights children and young people have and how these can be protected or claimed.
