Interaction of traumatisation and justice
Adult education centre: Symposium on 17 and 18 June - public lecture on 17 June, 6 p.m., TIETZ, event hall
On Friday, 17 June, from 2 to 7.30 pm, and on Saturday, 18 June, from 9.30 am to 5 pm, the Chemnitz Adult Education Centre, SWK-Chemnitz e.V. and the Trauma Network "Mental Health" support association are organising a symposium on the topic of "Trauma and Justice - Developments in Justice, Psychotherapy and Society" in the TIETZ event hall. The forum is aimed in particular at employees from counselling centres and other fields of activity in the psychosocial sector and at specialists from biopsychosocial professions.
All interested parties are invited to a lecture on Friday 17 June at 6 pm.

The main speakers will be Prof. Dr Ulrich Sachsse, a specialist in psychiatry and psychotherapy and psychosomatic specialist from Kassel, and former senior public prosecutor Kirsten Böök, currently Senior Ministerial Councillor at the Lower Saxony Ministry of Justice in Hanover.
Both will take a detailed look at the connections and conditions of traumatisation and justice from their professional perspective and put them up for discussion.
The focus will be on questions such as: Does re-traumatisation occur as a result of judicial proceedings? What happens to a victim after a criminal complaint? What other judicial proceedings can affect the victim? How can victims and therapists protect themselves from/against re-traumatisation in the course of proceedings? What does criminal proceedings mean for therapy?
