Instrument Day at the Municipal Music School
Invitation to listen, see and try out, Saturday, 14 April, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Chemnitz Municipal Music School is opening its doors at Gerichtsstraße 1 on Kaßberg next Saturday, 14April 2018. From 10 am to 1 pm, children and young people interested in music are cordially invited to try out various musical instruments in the rooms of the music school. Admission is free.
The various departments of the municipal music school present themselves at this annual information day. From string instruments, wind instruments, keyboard instruments, plucked instruments and early music education to dance, rock-pop-jazz and singing, everything is represented. Teachers open their classrooms, give an insight into the special features of their instruments and answer questions. Various instruments can be tried out. The music school administration will also be on site and will be happy to answer any questions about enrolment at the music school.
In addition, the rock-pop-jazz section will be presenting band performances from 10 am to 1 pm. In the concert hall there will be a presentation with dance and accordion at 10.30 am and the fairy tale "The Emperor's Nightingale" at 11 am.
The Chemnitz Municipal Music School offers professional accompaniment and training in a wide variety of subject areas. Among the subjects taught are percussion, string, wind and plucked instruments, piano and accordion. Early musical education, lessons for seniors, chamber music and vocal training are also offered.
