Instrument Day at the Municipal Music School
Invitation to hear, see and try - on 13 April, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Chemnitz Municipal Music School is opening its doors at Gerichtsstraße 1 on Kaßberg on Saturday 13 April from 10 am to 1 pm. On Instrument Day, anyone interested in music is cordially invited to try out various musical instruments in the rooms of the music school and discover the world of music.
If you fancy plucking a guitar or would like to try blowing a trumpet or making a piano sound - you are very welcome at the Chemnitz Municipal Music School. Grandparents, parents and children, big and small interested parties can simply try out and use the large stock of instruments. Perhaps this morning will even be the beginning of a lifelong passion for one or the other.
Whether for adults or children, the Chemnitz Municipal Music School offers professional guidance and training in a wide range of specialisms. Among the subjects taught are percussion, string, wind and plucked instruments, piano and accordion. Early music education, lessons for seniors, chamber music and vocal training are also offered.
There will also be a student café on this day, and the music school administration will be on site to answer any questions about enrolment at the music school. From 12 noon to around 2 p.m., visitors can experience the Chemnitz school model band project and a teacher band session in the band rehearsal room.
