Instrument Day and Spring Festival
On 1 May, from 1 p.m. at the Municipal Music School, Gerichtsstraße 1
On Sunday, 1 May, from 1 p.m., children, young people and adults interested in music are invited to view, listen to and try out various instruments in the rooms of the Municipal Music School. Admission to the "Day of Instruments" is free.
From ukuleles and concert guitars to flutes and violoncellos - all the instruments offered by the music school can be admired and tried out. Music teachers will present their instruments and talk to participants.
From 4 p.m., a spring festival will be held in the concert hall of the Municipal Music School to mark the 30th anniversary of the re-founding of the Chemnitzer Musikverein e.V., to which all interested parties are also cordially invited. The youth ensemble "Die StreichHölzer", members of the Robert Schumann Philharmonic Orchestra and guests Jeffrey Goldberg and Joe Sachse will perform.
The music school's wind ensemble will play during the subsequent courtyard party.
