Information on tree felling work
Preparation for demolition work on building remains Helbersdorfer Straße 15
Tree felling work is currently being carried out on the site of the former GGG building yard at Helbersdorfer Straße 15. This is necessary to clear the site for demolition work on the remaining buildings.
The building demolition is to take place this year. The city of Chemnitz acquired this area from GGG in 2014 with the aim of building a new base for green maintenance and expanding the city car park.
The trees to be felled are mainly overgrowth that has been left to develop freely on the site for 20 years due to it lying unused. The tree felling should be completed by 10 March.
Baumteam Zeitz GbR has been commissioned to carry out the work. The costs amount to 24,000 euros.
