Information on this year's public authority festival
The 15th Public Authorities Festival will take place on Sunday, 10 September 2017, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the grounds of Klaffenbach moated castle.
The City of Chemnitz's Citizens' Office and Public Order Office are among the long-standing participants in the annual public authorities festival: staff from the Service Centre D 115 department will be on hand at the information stands to answer questions about the nationwide public authorities number 115. The public order office will once again be represented with its highly publicised traffic monitoring department and will be presenting a radar vehicle with permanently installed measuring technology as well as a current portable measuring device. Reports of speeding offences can be discussed on the spot with the "measurement officers".
The social services department will be presenting its specialised departments for the elderly and disabled as well as the local care authority. Interested parties will have the opportunity to find out more about health care proxies and guardianship law. In addition, the employees of the senior citizens' social service will answer questions about ageing. They will provide advice on support services in the areas of care and assistance for people in need.
In addition to general information on the various tasks of the public health department, the health counsellor will be available to answer questions about health and nutrition, and there will also be a small hands-on course for young and old.
The Food Inspection and Veterinary Office will be focussing on food inspections.
The fire brigade will certainly be a special attraction for many visitors at the 15th festival of public authorities.
