Information on local municipal climate protection

Gerhard Fürbaß from the city's building construction department will give a presentation on the current status and ongoing measures in the area of climate protection in municipal building construction on Wednesday, 12 February at 5 p.m. in the environmental centre on Kaßberg. Chemnitz stakeholders and interested citizens are cordially invited to find out more and discuss necessary future developments together. Admission is free.
Background: Since joining the "Climate Alliance of European Cities with Indigenous Rainforest Peoples/Alianza del clima" in 1992, the city has been committed to reducing carbon dioxide emissions. The implementation of the measures resulting from the Integrated Climate Protection Programme (2012) and the tasks of the Energy Policy Work Programme and Climate Adaptation Programme (2017-2020) have been recognised as very successful by several external evaluations (including the european energy award 2015 and 2019, european climate award 2017).
