Information on dyslexia and dyscalculia
Deputy Chairwoman of the Saxony Dyslexia and Dyscalculia Association speaks at the adult education centre
Simone Mörtl, speech therapist and deputy chairwoman of the Landesverband Legasthenie und Dyskalkulie Sachsen e. V., will be giving talks on dyslexia on 5 November 2015 and dyscalculia on 26 November 2015 at the Volkshochschule Chemnitz. The courses start at 6.45 pm, cost 5.80 euros and take place at the TIETZ in room 4.20. The adult education centre accepts registrations on 0371 488-4343, by email to or online.

Mörtel provides the theoretical basis for both topics based on the latest scientific findings. She summarises the most common types of errors in reading, writing and arithmetic, talks about early detection and explains what therapy-relevant diagnostics are required. In addition, she points out possibilities for school and extracurricular support and presents recognised therapy methods.
