Information from the transport authority on the remodelling of the central bus stop
From tomorrow, 2 November, traffic restrictions are to be expected in the area of Bahnhofstraße between Zschopauer Straße and Annaberger Straße. As part of construction phase 3 of the conversion of the central station, only one lane will be available in both directions in this section, probably until 9 December.
In addition, turning left from Zschopauer Straße into Bahnhofstraße will be prohibited during the construction phase. Pedestrians must also expect further restrictions in the area around Bahnhofstraße. The crossing between the TIETZ department stores' and Rathausstraße will only be available to a limited extent.
As there is a risk of traffic jams, it is recommended to avoid the area as far as possible. Access to and from the multi-storey car parks in the city centre will be guaranteed.
The public car parks in the city centre will be available during the construction work.
