Arts and culture funding:
Applications for cultural funding up to a maximum of 2,000 euros for 2016 can still be submitted until 1 September 2015. Application forms and information on the specific criteria and funding requirements in accordance with the current funding guidelines can be found at the following link:
Socio-cultural youth fund:
It is possible to submit an application for project funding for primarily new, innovative, contemporary youth culture projects or spontaneously developing socio-cultural projects for children and young people. Applications for 2016 can be submitted by 1 November 2015 at the latest. The funding guidelines provide information on the conditions for applications. Additional possibility of investment reinforcement funds for cultural institutions:
The Free State of Saxony has passed a special resolution on the 2015/2016 double budget to provide additional funding for cultural institutions. The Chemnitz cultural region will also benefit from the additional financial injection. Cultural institutions can submit applications for necessary investments or structural measures for the following year by 15 October 2015.
The cultural management department can provide advice on the funding requirements for additional investment funds, as well as on issues relating to the promotion of art and culture and the promotion of socio-cultural activities.

The final decision on the allocation of funding is made by the Cultural Committee of the City of Chemnitz on the basis of the funds actually available.
