Information from the Crime Prevention Council of the City of Chemnitz

Next Thursday, 11 May, from 2 p.m., the contractual partners of the "Safe Saxon Cities" action alliance and other key players will once again exchange experiences in continuation of the security conference held on 20 October 2016. Information will be provided on the measures already taken and planned to increase the sense of security in the city centre.

Representatives of the media are invited to this event.

The event will take place in the training room, 4th floor, Bürgerhaus Am Wall, Düsseldorfer Platz 1, 09111 Chemnitz. The event is being organised in cooperation with the Institut für Beratung, Begleitung und Bildung e.V. (B3 Institute).

The Chemnitz police department will present the current situation in the city centre of Chemnitz. Miko Runkel, Mayor for Law, Security and Environmental Protection and Chairman of the city's Crime Prevention Council, will present Chemnitz's measures in the area of order and security. The mobile youth work of the AJZ will report on prevention and conflict management, with a focus on the city centre. The Gangway association will give a presentation on dealing with insecurity and conflicts of use in public places.
