Information day with film screening on the subject of dementia

For World Alzheimer's Day on 6 November, the Dementia Network_C invites you to the Metropol cinema

On Saturday, 6 November, from 8.30 am to 2 pm, an information day on the topic of dementia will take place at the Metropol cinema, Zwickauer Straße 11. To mark World Alzheimer's Day, the Dementia Network_C(hemnitz) is organising this event with a lecture, panel discussion and film screening. Those affected, relatives and carers can register for the event, admission is free.

Coping with Alzheimer's and senile dementia in everyday life poses challenges for sufferers, relatives and carers every day. The diagnosis of dementia brings major changes for affected families. Information forums such as this one are intended to raise awareness of the topic in society.

The day begins with a specialist lecture. This will be followed by a panel discussion in which representatives from the field will give tips on how to deal with the disease and answer questions. After the lunch break, the film "Romy's Salon" will be shown, which tells the story of how a child learns to deal with her grandmother's Alzheimer's disease.

Registration for the event is required by 24 October: either by fax to 0371/488-5098 or by email to pflegenetz_c(at)stadt-chemnitz.de. The Metropol cinema is barrier-free. Car parking is available.

DemenzNetz_C(hemnitz) brings together stakeholders from public, independent and private organisations and services to represent the interests of dementia sufferers and their relatives in Chemnitz.
