Increased traffic volume around the Chemnitz Exhibition Centre due to the "Freiwild" concert on 30 December
Information on traffic jams, alternative routes and parking facilities
On Sunday, 30 December 2018, the concert of the band "Freiwild" will take place at 7.30 pm at Messe Chemnitz. In the period from 3 pm to 8 pm, increased traffic volumes are to be expected around the exhibition centre, on Zwickauer Straße and Südring. There is a risk of traffic jams on the A 72 motorway near the Chemnitz-Süd exit and on Neefestraße.

In order to ensure rapid access to the Chemnitz Arena car park, the traffic light green time for left turns from Neefestraße into Jaenickestraße will be extended.
Wandererstraße from Jaenickestraße in the direction of Neefestraße (Solaris) will become a one-way street. An overview plan of other parking facilities within walking distance of the Chemnitz Arena is also attached.
It is recommended to use the special EDEKA car park in the Winkelhoferstraße industrial estate and the Leitermann car park on Zwickauer Straße. An overview map showing the car parks is attached.
Please follow the signs on the car park and the instructions of the stewards.
The concert ticket as a "Kombiticket" entitles you to use public transport free of charge throughout the Mittelsachsen transport network four hours before and up to six hours after the start of the event.
After the end of the event, special buses will be operated by the organiser. Buses will be available from bus stop OL 23 "Messe" (Neefestraße). Departures in the direction of the main railway station are at 10.56 pm, 11.11 pm, 11.26 pm and 11.41 pm. For the 22.56 and 23.26 departures, there is a connection at 23.10 and 23.40 respectively at the central bus stop.
