Inauguration of the inclusion areas in the Annen secondary school
Invitation for media representatives: Wednesday, 13 March, 2.30 p.m., 1st floor corridor south building
On Wednesday 13 March at 2.30 pm, the new inclusion areas at Annen-Oberschule, Annenstraße 23, 1st floor corridor south building, will be inaugurated. The official opening will be performed by Burkhard Heinze, Deputy President of the State Office for Schools and Education, and Jirka Meyer, Head of the Chemnitz City Education Authority.
Representatives of the media are cordially invited to this event.
There are currently 307 children at the Annenschule, around 40 per cent of whom have special individual support needs. They either still need to learn German, or they have dyscalculia, dyslexia or hearing loss. In addition, there are 26 children who are being taught inclusively at the school as special needs pupils. To enable individual and group support for these pupils, so-called learning islands were created - new rooms. The costs for the remodelling amounted to 125,000 euros. In addition, around 10,700 euros were spent on the equipment.
