In the footsteps of Erwin Strittmatter
Reading and entertainment with Dr Knut Strittmatter on 24.02. at TIETZ
Next Friday, 24 February, 6 pm at the TIETZ, the Chemnitz authors' group "Literarisches Kleeblatt" will be commemorating the poet and writer Erwin Strittmatter together with Dr Knut Strittmatter, son from his first marriage.
Erwin Strittmatter's novels moved readers in the GDR and stimulated discussion. His fans seem to have been infected by an incurable virus. People have it and will never get rid of it. For the members of the Literary Cloverleaf, Jana Heidler and Carsten Krankemann, Erwin Strittmatter was one of the best-known writers of their childhood. This seems plausible to those who grew up in Chemnitz. But how did he manage to win the heart of Christiane Winkler from Essen? For their own view of the author of "Ole Bienkopp" and "Der Laden", the trio invited Dr Knut Strittmatter into the conversation. Incidentally, the latter can say of himself: "I still rode Pedro the pony.
