In dialogue with the Capital of Culture

Workshop on the inspirations for Chemnitz 2025

The following schedule is planned for the Citizens' Dialogue on the Capital of Culture tomorrow, Saturday 27 October, at the Hartmann-Fabrik. Note: Saxony's Minister of State for Finance, Dr Matthias Haß, will also be a guest at the workshop from 11 a.m. to 12 noon.

Programme

11 a.m. to 11.45 a.m.: Welcome and tour of the exhibition
During this time, citizens can find out about the ideas for the Capital of Culture. Which projects are conceivable? They can also contribute their own ideas. The city's proposals and the citizens' proposals will then be put to the vote. Workshops will be held later on the six topics with the most interest.

11.50 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.: Brainstorming on future topics
During this time, a brainstorming session is initiated with the citizens: Everyone decides on a topic and joins in the discussion. The topics are mobility, housing, dialogue, environment/sustainability. The aim is to get an initial picture of how the people of Chemnitz would like to see the city's future in these areas.

At the same time, the workshops are prepared for the topics that have been voted on.

12.45 to 13.30: Workshops on the voted topics
In a first round, joint ideas are developed for the specific projects and a scenario is drafted.

13.30 to 14.00: Evaluation, followed by further discussions over coffee and cake
