Im Neefepark road fully closed on Monday
Parts for the supporting structure of the bridge construction must be lifted in
On Monday, 23 October, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., the street Im Neefepark (passage under the Neefestraße bridge) will be fully closed to all traffic. This is necessary for safety reasons, as parts for the supporting scaffolding for the bridge construction are being lifted into place.
The diversions for Neefepark will be in both directions via Neefestraße, Carl-von-Bach-Straße, Tuchschererstraße and Im Neefepark.
The Clemens-Winkler-Straße industrial estate can be reached at any time via the landward Neefestraße carriageway (access and exit). Access from the direction of Grüna must be diverted via Neefestraße towards the city centre, Südring (U-turn) and Neefestraße towards the countryside (see attached diagram).
Bus services (lines 23, 43, 93) will also be diverted, but from 4 am onwards. CVAG has published passenger information on this.
Various closure times were analysed in advance for this technologically demanding measure. Several companies are involved in planning the complex and logistically closely coordinated operations. However, the optimum sequence for the delivery and assembly of the large components is only possible using special transport and represents a logistical challenge. Everyone involved is endeavouring to keep the assembly and shutdown times as short as possible.
