"Ideas wanted! What does your Dresden street look like?"

The city of Chemnitz is planning changes to Dresdner Straße in the section between Dresdner Platz and Thomas-Mann-Platz.

To this end, the civil engineering department has commissioned a traffic planning study with the aim of developing a guiding concept for a holistic street design.

The first step is to involve the residents of Chemnitz:
On Wednesday, 3 July, between 5.30 and 7 p.m. at Dresdener Platz, they are invited to design their Dresdner Strasse on a 1:87 scale model or draw their wishes for Dresdner Strasse on postcards.

From 3 to 17 July, it will also be possible to take part online at www.chemnitz.de/beteiligung. Alternatively, ideas can be sent to the city council's citizens' office by 17 July using specially developed postcards that will be on display in the district.

The ideas collected will be incorporated into the planning process by the commissioned engineering firm, used as a compass for prioritising and, if necessary, implemented.
