Ideas exchange for waste avoidance
VHS and Environmental Centre invite you to TIETZ on 19 November
During the European Week for Waste Prevention, Chemnitz residents can find out about practical approaches to waste prevention and discuss their effectiveness on Tuesday, 19 November from 5 to 8 pm in the event hall at the TIETZ. Admission is free.
Under the title "Waste prevention in practice - good ideas to copy", various players and projects will present creative and practical approaches to waste prevention and sensible reuse and recycling. The ASR will also be represented with a presentation. With the help of numerous information materials and an exhibition by Chemnitz University of Technology on the "Golden rules for more sustainability in everyday life", participants will be able to gain many more ideas. The best waste is waste that is not produced in the first place. Nevertheless, it is inevitable that the use and consumption of things will result in waste that then has to be disposed of. Waste avoidance is an important principle on the road to a circular economy in order to conserve resources and protect the environment. This workshop will focus on concrete ideas and approaches to waste prevention in consumption, which will show that everyone can do something: Everyone can do something. The results should identify initial measures to initiate a debate on an urban waste prevention concept.
This event is a cooperation between the Chemnitz Environmental Centre and the Chemnitz Adult Education Centre.
