Ice show in honour of Jutta Müller
Ice sports centre receives the name of the deceased Chemnitz coach - Photo opportunity: Unveiling of the nameplate on 9 March, 5.30 pm, Chemnitz Ice Sports Centre, Wittgensdorfer Straße 2a
On Saturday, 9 March at 6 p.m., an ice show will be performed in the ice rink of the Chemnitz Ice Sports Centre in honour of Jutta Müller, an honorary citizen of Chemnitz who passed away last year. As a special tribute, the ice sports centre will be named after the former trainer.
The new nameplate, which will be placed in front of the ice sports centre (at the Leipziger Straße entrance), will be unveiled at 5.30 pm in the presence of Lord Mayor Sven Schulze, Katarina Witt, Gabriele Seyfert and the Managing Director of EFC GmbH, Sascha Brandt.
Media representatives are cordially invited to both the unveiling and the ice show.

The ice show "A tribute to Jutta Müller", directed by the Chemnitzer Eislauf-Club e. V. (CEC), will begin with show performances from the fields of pairs skating, ice dancing and synchronised ice skating with athletes from Chemnitz, Dresden and Berlin, among others. Among others, the ice dancing pair Charise Matthaei and Max Liebers from the local Chemnitz Ice Skating Club e. V., reigning German runners-up, have announced their attendance.
In addition to the welcoming address by Lord Mayor Sven Schulze, Katarina Witt and Gabriele Seyfert, among others, will also address personal words about Jutta Müller to the guests.
The second part of the evening will be followed by an improvisation competition. Boys and girls from all age groups will compete against each other. A jury, including Katarina Witt, Anett Pötzsch and Gabriele Seyfert, will judge the performances and select a male and female winner.
An autograph session with Katarina Witt is planned at the end of the event.
Admission to the event is free of charge. Standing and seating places have been available for reservation since 1 February at www.chemnitz.de/juttamueller. All of the approximately 3800 seats were soon fully booked.
