"Ibiza affair" - online lecture by the adult education centre
On Thursday28 May from 7.30 to 9 p.m. , the Chemnitz Adult Education Centre is hosting an online lecture on the much-discussed "Ibiza affair" in 2019.
The editors of the Süddeutsche Zeitung Leila Al-Serori and Bastian Obermayer will talk about the research at the time, the political consequences and their assessment of the events one year later. In May 2019, the Süddeutsche Zeitung and Der Spiegel jointly published the Ibiza video that triggered a political earthquake in Austria. Austrian Vice-Chancellor Heinz-Christian Strache resigned from all his posts, the government collapsed and new elections were called.
The lecture will be broadcast as a live stream and participants can join the discussion via a live chat.

On the day of the event, registered persons will receive an access link by e-mail with which they can dial in.
This event is part of the online series "vhs.wissen live - the digital science programme" as a cooperation between the Chemnitz Adult Education Centre and the adult education centres in the Erding and SüdOst districts of Munich as well as the Süddeutsche Zeitung.
