"I think my pig is whistling!"
Big children's festival at the zoo on 3 October from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
"I think my pig is whistling!" is the motto of this year's children's festival on Thursday, 3 October, from 10 am to 5 pm, to mark the zoo's 55th birthday.
Visitors young and old can expect interesting stories and interviews, as well as animal fun, games and lots of great prizes. Presenter Sandra Petzold will accompany visitors through the day on the Radio Chemnitz stage.
There will be various games and sports activities as well as craft stands for children to take part in and win prizes throughout the zoo. But there are also interesting things for the older guests to discover. There will be plenty of food and drink on offer.
Of course, the animals are the main protagonists of the day. The young animals have grown considerably, the new arrivals have settled in and the old-established ones are slowly getting ready for the cold season.
On this day, the zoo is once again open during the summer opening hours from 9 am to 7 pm (last admission 6 pm).
Opening hours from October:
Chemnitz Zoo: 9 am to 5 pm, last admission 4 pm.
Game enclosure: 8 am to 4 pm
