Hungarian teachers learn about the vocational training system

Invitation to the photo session: 26 August, 9.30 a.m., Grüner Salon in the town hall

On Monday 26 August at 9.30 am, ten teachers from the "Szily Kálmán" vocational school centre in the Hungarian capital Budapest will be visiting the City of Chemnitz's EU Coordinator, Pia Sachs, at City Hall. They will receive an overview and information about the city of Chemnitz and its history and about the city's European work. The reception will take place in the Green Parlour of the City Hall.

Representatives of the media are cordially invited to this event.

The educators are visiting Chemnitz for a week as part of the EU project "New waves of engineering and information technology in Central Europe" from the Erasmus+ programme and are gathering information on issues relating to vocational training. The Chemnitz partner is solaris Förderzentrum für Jugend und Umwelt gGmbH, which is organising the educational programme.

The programme includes visits to the Chemnitz Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the careers information centre of the employment agency and schools, authorities and training companies in the Chemnitz region. In September, pupils from this school are then expected as guests to complete a work placement lasting several weeks.
