(How well) does our German asylum system work?

Lecture and discussion at the Chemnitz Environmental Library on 26 October

The Environmental Centre, together with ARBEIT UND LEBEN Sachsen e.V., invites you to a lecture followed by a discussion on 26 October from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Environmental Library, Henriettenstraße 6, 09112 Chemnitz. The event "A close look at the German asylum system" will provide a comprehensive insight into the national asylum procedure in the Federal Republic of Germany.

Speaker Patrick Irmer from the Saxon Refugee Council will discuss current content and changes in asylum law and explain its significance for refugees. He will provide an overview of current figures, forecasts and causes of flight for asylum seekers.

In the second part of the event, there will be time for questions from participants and topic-related discussions.
