How to colonise wild bees in your own garden
Online lecture at the adult education centre on 14 October, 5 to 7.15 pm
On Thursday, 14 October, from 5 to 7.15 pm, the Chemnitz Adult Education Centre invites interested parties to an online lecture on the protection of insects and the support of wild bees in their own gardens. The event will take place online.

0371 488-4343 by 3 pm on 14 October. After registration, an access link will be sent by e-mail.
An experienced hobby gardener will explain the native wild bee species and their habitats and show how a good habitat can be created for them in the garden or on the balcony. There will also be practical demonstrations of how to build bee hotels with simple means, which the bees can actually move into quickly.
While the protection of honey bees is close to many people's hearts, the threat to wild bees in the region is even less well known. The sealing of surfaces, a lack of food sources due to monocultures in agriculture, but also changes to the agricultural landscape as a whole and climate change are putting them under pressure.
The event is part of the "Living Consciously" series at the Chemnitz Adult Education Centre, which is committed to the conscious use of the earth's resources.
