How free is the press? The basics of journalistic work
Adult education centre: Event on 21 June, 7 p.m., event hall in the TIETZ
On Tuesday, 21 June, from 7 to 8.30 pm, the adult education centre is hosting an event with the Chemnitz daily newspaper "Freie Presse" in the event hall at the TIETZ.
Torsten Kleditzsch, editor-in-chief of the "Freie Presse", will report from his many years of experience on processes and the basics of editorial work as well as the everyday work of journalists.

While the media landscape in Germany is increasingly changing, the press is facing ever-increasing pressure. In particular, the freedom and political independence of the press is increasingly being called into question. But just how free is the press? What legal regulations are there regarding press work? Where do editorial offices get their information from? And how do they guarantee objective reporting? Torsten Kleditzsch addresses these and other questions. In addition to the technical input, he will be available to answer questions and offer the opportunity for a discussion.
