Honours for deserving members of the fire brigade

City Treasurer Berthold Brehm awards decorations and medals of merit Date: Wednesday (7 November), 6 p.m., Town Hall/City Council Chamber - Invitation for media representatives to the photo session

It is a good tradition at Chemnitz City Hall to honour the meritorious work of members of the fire brigades in Chemnitz every year in November. This year, the festive event, to which the recipients and their families are invited, will take place on Wednesday, 7 November at 6 p.m. in the City Council Chamber of Chemnitz Town Hall. City Treasurer Berthold Brehm will honour the work of the firefighters and present the awards.
Representatives of the media are cordially invited to attend.

The members of the professional fire brigade and the volunteer fire brigades will attend the festive event together with their partners. The evening's guests will include the Chairman of the City Fire Brigade Association, Heiner Großer, eleven fire brigade chiefs and other representatives of Chemnitz City Council and the Saxon State Ministry of the Interior.

City Treasurer Berthold Brehm honoured members of volunteer fire brigades and the professional fire brigade for their many years of dedicated service at the event in the City Council Chamber - the following awards were presented:

1 x Fire Brigade Decoration of Honour as a Silver Cross
1 x Gold Fire Brigade Badge of Honour (40 years of active service)
6 x Silver Fire Brigade Badge of Honour (25 years of active service)
2 x Fire Brigade Cross of Honour for 50 years of loyal service in the fire brigade
4 x Fire Brigade Cross of Honour for 40 years of loyal service in the fire service
4 x Fire Brigade Cross of Honour for 25 years of loyal service in the fire brigade (members of the age and honour division)

4 x Medal of Merit of the City Fire Brigade Association.
