Honour for the Niners Chemnitz
The team and staff sign the city's Golden Book - Photo opportunity: 23 May, 5.30 p.m., City Hall, Grüner Salon
On Monday, 23 May at 5.30 pm, the Niners Chemnitz basketball team will sign the Golden Book of the City of Chemnitz.
Representatives of the media are invited to attend. The meeting point is the Wandelhalle on the 2nd floor of Chemnitz Town Hall.
The Niners Chemnitz were promoted to the German Basketball League during the coronavirus pandemic and have already reached the championship play-offs in their second season.
To honour the Niners' great sporting success, Lord Mayor Sven Schulze invited the team to sign the City of Chemnitz's Golden Book.
Sven Schulze: "The Niners have achieved outstanding sporting success in very difficult times and, as a team and with their fans, are a great ambassador for the city. For this reason, I am delighted that we can honour them with an entry in the Golden Book after such a successful season and subsequently for their promotion."
