Help hotline for men affected by violence
Men also experience violence: on the street, in institutions or in partnerships, they too are victims of psychological, physical or sexual violence in childhood, bullying and stalking. In 2018, according to the Federal Criminal Police Office's crime statistics, 18.7 per cent of those affected by intimate partner violence were men.
This is why there is now a "Violence against men helpline". Men who have suffered violence in any form can find counselling there. Relatives or specialist centres can also find out about help options for men affected by violence.

The helpline was set up on the initiative of the Bavarian State Ministry for Family, Labour and Social Affairs and the Ministry for Regional Identity, Communities and Local Government, Building and Gender Equality of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia.
