On Saturday, 6 December, from 2.30 pm, the height rescuers from the Chemnitz Fire Department will once again be handing out surprises for St Nicholas' Day at the Clinic for Paediatric and Adolescent Medicine.
Representatives of the media are invited to attend. The meeting point is at Flemmingstraße 2 (near the bus turning point).
The plan is for three height rescuers to abseil simultaneously onto the balcony of the paediatric surgery department in various costumes such as angels, Father Christmas and Batman. A fourth rope team will bring a height rescuer to the children using the turntable ladder.
The costumed height rescuers will then visit all four children's wards and hand out small gift bags to the girls and boys.
The Chemnitz City Fire Brigade Association and the Chemnitz Centre Management are covering the costs of the gift bags.
