Head of the main office elected

At its meeting yesterday, the City Council elected Cornelia Schwalbe as Head of the Main Office of the City of Chemnitz. The 52-year-old has been in charge of the Main Office since January 2024 and has now been confirmed in office by the City Council.

Cornelia Schwalbe was born in Karl-Marx-Stadt and has held various positions at the City of Chemnitz since 1995. These included two years as a consultant in the Department of Human Resources, Finance and Education as well as Head of Recruiting and Training.

The main office is responsible for areas including pay and remuneration, personnel, organisation and personnel development.
