Hate speech - dealing with hate comments online
Online event on 12 October, from 6.45 to 8.15 pm
On Monday, 12 October, from 6.45 to 8.15 pm, interested parties are invited to take part in the online event "Hate Speech - How do we deal with hate comments online?". You will receive the link after registering at the adult education centre at www.vhs-chemnitz.de. Participation is free of charge.
Offensive language, discriminatory posts and hate speech on social networks have increased rapidly in recent years. This is a great burden for those affected and there is often talk of a brutalisation of language on the internet. The course therefore deals with these questions: How is an appropriate and target group-appropriate dialogue possible? How can respectful dialogue be promoted?
Various methods and examples for promoting a non-violent communication culture online will be presented.
This event is a co-operation between SAEK Chemnitz and the Chemnitz Adult Education Centre as part of the "medienkundig" course series.
