Hands-on activities during the winter holidays at the Museum für Naturkunde
During the winter holidays from 18 February to 1 March 2019, the Museum für Naturkunde Chemnitz is offering interesting hands-on activities. In addition, free-flying tropical butterflies entice visitors to visit the Insectarium individually.
Museum education programme "Birds - our feathered friends"
Whether in the forest, in the field or in the city - many habitats offer perfect living conditions for birds. After identifying native bird species and listening to their songs, a bird feeder will be created to take home.

Museum education programme "On the trail of Schnappi and Co."
On a trip to the Petrified Forest of Chemnitz, the holiday kids learn what a fossil is, how it is formed, when the animal or plant lived and how they were discovered in the middle of Chemnitz. Afterwards, they will make a wood decorated with fossils.
Dates: Monday 18 February, Friday 22 February, Wednesday 27 February, each from 10 to 11.30 a.m.; admission is free; funded by the ESF
