On Thursday, 16 October at 3 pm, anyone interested is invited to a guided tour of the forest in Erfenschlag. Participation is free of charge.
The meeting point is at the former Erfenschlag outdoor pool. There is limited parking available at the old quarry.
Andreas Streich, head of the green space maintenance/forestry department in the City of Chemnitz's green space office, and district forester Jörg Weisbrich will explain to participants the felling that has already taken place in Erfenschlag, the measures planned for the winter half-year 2025/26 and the forest management in the municipal forest of the City of Chemnitz. They will also be happy to answer any questions.
The guided forest tour is a cooperation between the City of Chemnitz Parks Department and the Citizens' Association for Chemnitz-Erfenschlag e. V. V.
