On Thursday, 10 April at 10 a.m., Mayor Dagmar Ruscheinsky will receive the Mayor for Culture and International Affairs of the City of Mulhouse, Nathalie Motte, and the City of Mulhouse's International Relations Officer, Claudia Meschede, in the Grüner Salon of Chemnitz City Hall.
Nathalie Motte will sign the Capital of Culture book.
Representatives of the media are invited to attend.
The reason for the visit from the twin city of Mulhouse is the Capital of Culture Year 2025 and the ballet project "Chemnitz & Friends", a dance evening with international companies. Among others, the Ballet de l'Opéra national du Rhin from Mulhouse will be performing William Forsythe's celebrated quintet.
Talks on other joint projects are planned for the afternoon. For example, Mulhouse is involved in the "Tales of Transformation" exhibition at the Museum of Industry, which will open at the end of April. Other exchange formats in the fields of culture, administration and business will also be discussed. The two guests from the twin city will meet with representatives of the City of Chemnitz, the Chemnitz Franco-German Society and Chemnitz University of Technology.
In the evening, at 7.30 pm, the guests will attend the ballet performance "Chemnitz & Friends" at the Chemnitz Opera House together with Mayor Dagmar Ruscheinsky.
