Group of students from Volgograd visit the town hall

Tomorrow, Thursday 29 September 2016 at 11 a.m., Mayor Miko Runkel will welcome a group of students from the twin city of Volgograd in the City Council Chamber of Chemnitz City Hall. Media representatives are cordially invited to attend.
The eleven pupils, aged between 12 and 17, are participants in the Annenschule OS student exchange programme. They will be accompanied by two teachers from the Volgograd OS and eleven pupils and one teacher from the Annenschule OS.
The student exchange programme between Annenschule OS and the partner school in Volgograd has been running for several years and has already become a tradition. Pupils from different year groups visit each other every two years.
After welcoming the young guests, Deborah Gehrisch, a participant from Chemnitz at the International Youth Conference in Volgograd in August 2016, will talk about her experiences. The visitors will then receive a small gift and a tour of the town hall.
