Ground-breaking ceremony for flowering meadow at day-care centre
Invitation: on 5 October, 10 a.m., 1st Montessori Children's House, Ernst-Enge-Straße 4
On Thursday, 5 October at 10 a.m., Ute Spindler, Children and Youth Officer of the City of Chemnitz, and the children of the 1st Montessori Children's House, Ernst-Enge-Straße 4, will break ground for a new flowering meadow directly in front of their house.
Representatives of the media are cordially invited to attend.
The girls and boys at the daycare centre have been planning this flowering meadow for several months. This has been made possible by the federal programme "Future Package for Culture, Exercise and Health". With the support of the teachers and the child and youth representative, who came to the Montessori children's centre for a children's consultation at the beginning of June, ideas were collected, wishes compiled and a construction plan drawn up. Now the company carrying out the work, landscape architects Jacob + Bilz, are moving in with an excavator and helping the children to plant according to their ideas.
The children will collect wood and create a pile of dead wood. A gardening session with the parents is also planned for 17 October.
