"Good morning Chemnitz" - News from Utopia

Environmental Centre organises writing workshop on 28 May, 4.30 to 6 p.m. - for the exhibition "Utopia. Right to hope", Art Collections on Theatre Square

On Thursday, 28 May, from 4.30 to 6 p.m., the City of Chemnitz Environmental Centre invites interested parties to a creative workshop at the Kunstsammlungen am Theaterplatz, Theaterplatz 1. In addition to the impressive international utopias in the current exhibition "Utopia. Right to Hope", visions for a more sustainable Chemnitz will be uncovered and put in the spotlight.

Participation is free of charge. The offer is also accessible outside the exhibition and is limited to a maximum of 15 people. Please book free tickets in advance in the online ticket shop of the Kunstsammlungen Chemnitz under the link to the event.

Accompanied by experts in sustainable development, news texts and graphic design, visitors can write down and visualise their own long-cherished or spontaneously inspired utopia. This will result in the front page of a local newspaper from the future, which will be displayed together with existing front pages in the context of sustainable development as part of the exhibition.
If available, you should bring your own digital writing device (laptop or tablet).

Background
The municipal environmental centre promotes sustainable development in accordance with the global sustainability goals of Agenda 2030 at local level. This requires far-reaching social change. Utopias offer the opportunity to draw and communicate images of successful change processes and, based on this, to derive the necessary strategies and measures.
