Global Goals for Sustainable Development - Stand in Chemnitz
Adult education centre: Panel and audience discussion on 11 April, 7 p.m., event hall at TIETZ
On Monday, 11 April, from 7 to 8.30 p.m., interested parties are invited to a panel and public discussion on the topic "Global goals for sustainable development implemented locally: What is the status in Chemnitz?" in the event hall at the TIETZ. Participants can discuss with local stakeholders from various areas of politics and administration, civil society and business: Which global sustainability goals are relevant at a local level? How are these currently being implemented in Chemnitz?
The speaker will be Stefanie Licht from the Development Policy Network Saxony e.V., Human Rights and Business Department.

The world is facing many challenges: The fight against hunger and poverty, for affordable and clean energy, climate protection, sustainable cities and fair globalisation. In order to find answers to the pressing issues of our time, the United Nations has agreed on a total of 17 global goals for sustainable development with the "Agenda 2030".
Such political goals often seem abstract and far removed from our everyday lives. But the agenda is aimed at all areas of individual and public life. Global challenges have a very concrete impact on people on the ground. At the same time, actions in our immediate environment have a concrete impact on global developments.
This event is a cooperation between the Saxon State Centre for Political Education and the Chemnitz Adult Education Centre as part of the "Controversial on Site" project.
