Glass roofs of the Moritzhof and Kaufhof underground car park entrances are cleaned
At the end of July 2018, the glass roofs at the Moritzhof and Kaufhof underground car park entrances will be cleaned as part of the maintenance and repair work.
In order to minimise the impact on inner-city traffic, the cleaning work has been scheduled to take place after the major construction work at the central bus stop during the summer holidays.
On Friday 20 July, the construction site will be set up and the first work will be carried out. Cleaning will then take place over the following two weekends.
Traffic will only be restricted for the exterior cleaning, i.e. one lane in each direction will be closed directly at the glass roof. The interior cleaning will take place on Sundays, on which day the multi-storey car parks and deliveries to Kaufhof will be closed.
The Chemnitz-based company Dienstleistungsservice Peter Weyers has been commissioned to carry out the cleaning work on the two canopies. The total costs amount to approx. 16,000 euros.
