Girls' brunch at the Spinnerei
Equal Opportunities Officer: Invitation to young women - on 26 June, 11 am to 2 pm, Altchemnitzer Straße 5a
Girls and young women from Chemnitz and the surrounding area are invited to a girls' brunch at the Spinnerei, Altchemnitzer Straße 5a, on Wednesday 26 June from 11 am to 2 pm.
The entrance fee is 2 euros.
On this day, girls can discuss various topics and be creative in a safe space - i.e. among themselves. For example, there will be a workshop with the mobile rehearsal room of the Chemnitz band office as well as creative activities such as screen printing, button making and jewellery making, and for the first time a trainer for laughter yoga will be there. There will also be a make-up stand and, weather permitting, the swimming pool can be used. The City of Chemnitz Health Department will be represented with a "smoothie bike". The municipal coordinator for youth participation in Chemnitz will be available for questions and discussions.
The girls' brunch is organised by the Chemnitz Working Group for Girls and Young Women together with the City of Chemnitz Equal Opportunities Officer, Pia Hamann.
The working group is an association of committed, interested and motivated female (social) educators who work in various fields with different target groups. "We see ourselves as lobbyists for girls' work, working on behalf of girls and young women in the individual organisations and encouraging them to use their scope for action and decision-making to plan their lives in a self-determined way. The working group positions itself in favour of gender-specific and gender-reflective work with a focus on girls and young women. We are committed to equal opportunities and to recognising and supporting the needs, strengths and interests of girls and young women." (Quote from Self-conception of the Chemnitz Working Group for Girls and Young Women)
