For the Long Night of Training on 27 September, from 4 to 10 p.m., Rathaus

On Friday, 27 September, from 4 pm to 10 pm, Chemnitz City Hall will also be opening its doors to future trainees. The City of Chemnitz is taking part in the Long Night of Apprenticeships - initiated by Industrieverein Sachsen 1828 e. V. - where many companies will be opening their doors to pupils from year 7 and their chaperones and presenting training opportunities and internships. The event is primarily aimed at pupils who are about to finish school and would like to find out about their future careers. However, parents, teachers and anyone interested in the topic of training are also cordially invited.

Admission is free. Anyone interested can register via the Industrieverein's booking portal.

In the town hall, interested parties can get to know the wide range of different training and study opportunities offered by the City of Chemnitz: from industrial-technical professions such as road builder or gardener to commercial training and dual study programmes.

All career paths at the City of Chemnitz will be presented at information stands. Participants will have the opportunity to talk directly to trainers and current trainees to gain insights into various professions, explore possible career paths and make valuable contacts.

There will also be interactive stations where participants can test their skills and gain their first practical experience. A special highlight will be the vehicles of the fire brigade, the municipal police and the building yard, which can be viewed on Jakobikirchplatz.
