"Germany as a country of immigration - together instead of against each other"
Lecture and discussion with Prof Dr Albert Scherr at the adult education centre
On Thursday, 21 April 2016 at 7 pm, Prof. Dr Albert Scherr will be discussing the challenges facing Germany as a country of immigration at the adult education centre in the TIETZ, Moritzstraße 20, and pointing out ways to solve them. Admission is free.
Just a few years ago, there was a public debate as to whether Germany should recognise itself as a country of immigration. Refugees fleeing war and oppression or people seeking a decent life in Germany have made this discussion superfluous. The questions that Prof Dr Albert Scherr would like to answer in his lecture are: How do we shape our future coexistence and what measures do we need to take?
Prof Dr Albert Scherr is Director of the Institute of Sociology at the Freiburg University of Education. Among other things, he is a member of the Council for Migration and a board member of the Committee for Fundamental Rights and Democracy.
