German Beekeeping Day on 2 July

At the same time Day of the Clubs - in the Botanical Garden, Leipziger Straße 147

On Sunday, 2 July, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Chemnitz Beekeepers' Association 1874 e.V. will once again be holding its "German Beekeeping Day" in the Botanical Garden.

All beekeeping-related questions such as 'Do you know what honey tastes like and how it is made?', 'How does a bee colony live and what roles do the animals play?' and 'Do bees actually only provide honey, or is their importance in the biological cycles of nature greater than many people realise?

Honey sales and explanations at the bee show hive are of course included.

At the same time, some of the organisations active in the Chemnitz Botanical Garden will be presenting themselves on this day. The Förderverein Botanischer Garten/ Naturschutzzentrum Chemnitz e.V. and the Kakteenfreunde Chemnitz offer plants from the propagations of their amateur collections.

A small selection of snacks will be available.

Admission costs 1 euro, reduced admission 0.50 euro.
